Michael Eboda a former Voice and Weekly Journal journalist is the current editor of the popular tabloid New Nation.
"I was in a cab on my way to be a guest on Sky Television, the driver mistook me for a boxer, and when he did pluck up the courage to speak to me he asked: ' Why are Black people so good at sport?'
"It was probably because is the ultimate equal opportunity employer, and also because if you can run 100m in 9.9 seconds you're likely to get on the team."
Eboda is an accomplished sports journalist and has worked for numerous national titles including Boxing News, Total Sport, The Observer, The Guardian and the Sunday Times.
He took over at the New Nation, one of Britain's two leading Black newspapers in 1997 and set about successfully raising both it's profile and it's circulation. Under him the paper has flourished.
He is an active athlete and reportedly used to play both rugby union and American football.
He is a law graduate and lives in North London.
