SUN SAYS SORRY TO ADEBAYOR

TABLOID NEWSPAPER The Sun has apologised to former Arsenal, Spurs and Crystal Palace Footballer Emmanuel  Adebayor over a story it ran earlier this year. An article suggesting the Togo international pitched up at meeting with club officials from French side Lyon smoking and had asked for a whiskey shot in his coffee, was agreed not to have been accurate.
Adebayor had always denied the claims which appeared in several UK newspapers while the free-agent was looking for a club.
